Time: ~45min
Attacking: some
New skill: don't think so
Goals: 0 :(
Was an ok session; expected to be tired after going to the gym earlier, but didn't really feel it. Did get very tired in the last fifteen minutes but it was a fast game.

16/1 - Gym Visit
Had first proper visit to the Edinburgh Leisure gym, working through the program we decided on last week; was bloody hard, especially the cross trainer, the shoulder press and the side plank. Normal plank was actually ok - did the thirty seconds in three sets of ten seconds. The tricep pull was much easier today, I got through the 2x12 sets with the 6.25kg.
When I was doing the chest press, I didn't really feel it in my chest muscles, I felt my arm and shoulder muscles more; dunno why, maybe my chest muscles are stronger than my arm muscles and when they're level I'll feel it in my chest too.
Not really sore yet, although my traps are still kinda sore from Friday and are quite swollen - which is ok cos I can flex them and they look quite impressive (I'm sure this is only because they're swollen). Occasionally feeling a twinge in my back from the back extensions which is why I'm talking myself out of going to the gym tomorrow, but we'll see. Might go swimming at Portobello on way back from uni.

Time to draw a line
The back injury in October and then the snow in December really threw me off. I found it so frustrating during the snow because I couldn't cycle or get to the QMU gym. So I've joined Edinburgh Leisure. Had my first gym introduction today and was shown the cardio stuff; have the resistance induction tomorrow and am really looking forward to it, though it's very much machine work wheras I want to get into free weights.

Back Injury 13/10
Hurt my back quite badly, the sciatica was unbearable so went to a chiropractor. Will fill this post out more.

Pilates class - Tuesday 23/11
This class was run by Derek and his classes seem to be much more intense - definitely wasn't relaxing; I think I'm going to feel my core tomorrow. I think the mix of intensities in the class is probably a good thing
Pilates class - Monday 22/11
Found this class very relaxing and am slightly worried that the classes aren't intense enough; but I'm taking it easy to be careful of my back
